Munson Army Health Center (MAHC) implemented changes to their pharmacy effective June 21. One of the biggest changes to care is the introduction of the option of Q-Anywhere, a way to “get in line” through phone or QR code before coming to the facility to activate your prescriptions. The lobby has also reopened to patients.
“As we continue to see many COVID-19 restrictions lifted (both within MAHC and across Fort Leavenworth), the Pharmacy’s lobby is now fully open for all patients to use,” said Maj. Gregory Hare, Chief, Department of Pharmacy, MAHC. “Additionally, we now offer a new, convenient option for patients to use to check-in to the Pharmacy so we can begin processing prescriptions without having to call us or wait in the lobby.”
According to Hare, Q-Anywhere, the Pharmacy’s new remote queuing system, allows patients to text the Pharmacy and “Get in Line” so Pharmacy staff can begin processing their prescriptions. Q-Anywhere provides prescription status updates via text message so patients know when they can expect their prescriptions to be completed, without needlessly waiting at home or in the lobby.
To use the “get in line” option, patients can scan the code or dial 1-833-851-1505 to secure a spot in que to pick up their prescriptions. You will be prompted to enter the patient’s DoD identification number when checking-in. If you do not know the patient’s DoD identification number, you may visit MilConnect to find it at: https://milconnect.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect, log-in and select “My Profile,” then “Update and View My Profile.” Once you submit your request, the pharmacy will begin processing your prescription(s) and will contact you if we have any questions. You will receive updates on the status of your prescription(s) as we process them.
The pharmacy lobby, located on the first floor of Munson Army Health Center, is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“It is important to know that when checking into line, you must enter the DoD identification number of the patient who you wish to have prescriptions filled for,” Hare continued. Prescriptions can be processed for multiple family members, however, they must be sent individually for each patient
The pharmacy will only process prescriptions submitted within the past 14 days. If you have prescriptions outside of this timeframe, please stop into or call the Pharmacy at 913-684-6059 to have us begin working on your prescriptions. When returning for pick-up, please proceed to the Pharmacy Lobby, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or the Pharmacy Drive-Thru, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“The pharmacy staff have done a phenomenal job with incorporating all of this into their daily operations,” he said. “The pharmacy team is delighted to welcome patients back into the lobby and looks forward to serving everyone with their pharmaceutical needs.”
All refill requests must call (913) 684-6500 for processing. There is a two day turn-around for refill pick up.
