Army Futures Command launched the recruitment window for two Emerging Technology Opportunities June 7, including Army Software Factory (ASWF) and Army Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C) Cloud Technician program.

The application window for the next cohorts is open June 7 to July 7. ASWF will select up to 25 Soldiers and 5 Department of The Army Civilians, and the AI2C Cloud Technician program will select up to 20 personnel.

Futures Command also introduced the new catalog for prospective candidates, which outlines the necessary requirements, available at https://app.smartsheetgov.com/b/publish?EQBCT=da3c99313ed241e38b1c394780cf6aaf.

ASWF is housed in the Austin Community College in downtown Austin, Texas. Its mission is to build and sustain a Soldier-led software development capability to help increase digital proficiencies across the Force, solving current Army problems by leveraging agile, DevSecOps cybersecurity practices and cloud technologies, and harnessing an innovative spirit through close collaboration of tech, industry, and academia.

The Army Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Technician-Master Gunner program (AI Cloud Tech) is designed to develop Soldiers to prepare the operational force for AI-enabled capabilities. Cohort members will engage in an immersive program that combines Cloud Administrator education and both foundational and advanced certifications at Carnegie Mellon University, with hands-on experience and project-based learning with the Army Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C).

A diverse board will review applications, with the top applicants selected for a behavioral and technical interview. Final order-of-merit and selection is built in coordination with Human Resources Center and considers diversity of Rank, Military Occupational Specialty, and skillsets. Selected individuals will be notified in early fall.
