ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. —The Army is currently conducting the “Army National Hiring Days” campaign. It runs from May 10 through June 14 with the goal of hiring 1,700 new Soldiers.
Even if you are personally not interested or eligible to join, we are hoping you can share this great opportunity with the people in your life who might be looking for more than just a job.
Some people may not know about all that is available to Soldiers in the U.S. Army so the National Hiring Days campaign is our way of focusing on getting the word out. The Army offers exciting career opportunities in 150 fields including cyber, artificial intelligence, healthcare, aviation, data analysis and many more. Whether full-time or part-time, officer or enlisted, our Soldiers have access to quality training, education and competitive benefits that support them and their families both during and after their time in the Army.
Serving in the Army has been one of the greatest honors of my life. While I’ve appreciated all of the personal benefits, being able to work with my fellow Soldiers and help them succeed has been the most important part of it all.
Ever since I was a little girl, I was so enthralled by those in uniform. I remember seeing my uncle in his Army dress uniform, my aunt in her dress blues, or my father in his initial entry photo before he shipped off to Vietnam. There were many TV shows and movies that I would watch; ‘Top Gun’ was my favorite and got me excited about the Navy, not to mention their sharp dress white uniforms! I always knew I wanted to serve, see the world, earn a trade, and be all I could be. I didn’t join the Navy, Marine Corps or Air Force — I am a proud Soldier, one who works to defend our freedoms and this great nation.
I don’t know exactly what my life would have held if I hadn’t joined the military but I do know all of the incredible experiences I’ve had as a result of my decision to serve our great nation. That is the great thing about serving in the Army; you can do anything you want to do. Every single Soldier, regardless of race or gender, can achieve their full potential while serving their country and they will have a team supporting them on their journey. I look forward to welcoming you or your loved ones to the Army family I love so much.
People First, Winning Matters, Army Strong!
