Cleaning out old medications decreases the risk of drug abuse by youth and adolescents, friends and family members who may be at risk of abusing prescription medications. Proper disposal also helps to preserve the environment.

Items to be collected include tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of prescription drugs. All solid dosage pharmaceutical products and liquids in consumer containers will be accepted. Vaping devices and cartridges will also be accepted provided lithium batteries are removed. Syringes, other sharps and illegal drugs will not be accepted.

To participate, mark through any identifying information on the medication container and bring it to one of the drop-off points. Prescription and over-the-counter medications are accepted.
