Before the ribbon could be cut, bowling balls were rolling, pins were falling and a line was forming at the snack bar while a reopening ceremony for Rucker Lanes was held April 1.

The facility had been closed during the month of March for upgrades and renovations, but as patrons returned to the bowling center throughout the day, staff members said that seeing people back at Rucker Lanes was “right up their alley.”

Sgt. Ted E. Bear and The Bunny were also on hand to take photos with children and hand out treat bags to patrons.

In celebration of the reopening and to kick off the Month of the Military Child, Rucker Lanes will host “Kids Bowl Free” during the month of April. Birthday and party packages are available now, and Masquerade Glow Bowl will be held Fridays and Saturdays. Daily specials at the snack bar are also available.

Rucker Lanes is open 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday – Saturday, and 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday.

The Bowling Center features 20 lanes, a snack bar, bingo corner, a pro shop and annual locker rentals. Hungry? The Rucker Lanes Snack Bar services a variety of pub fare, along with family favorites like pizza, corn nuggets and burgers.
