FORT LEE, Va. -- Leaders from the Combined Arms Support Command and the Army garrison here gathered Tuesday at the First Logistical Command Memorial to kick off Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
The ceremony included remarks by Maj. Gen. Rodney D. Fogg, CASCOM and Fort Lee commanding general, and a proclamation signing by the assembly of senior officials.
SAAPM is recognized in April by both military and civilian communities. The Department of Defense uses it as a focal point of its ongoing efforts to eliminate sexual harassment and assault within its ranks, which requires a personal commitment from all service members.
