FORT KNOX, Ky. – Golfers at Fort Knox can officially tee off again seven days a week as Lindsey Golf Course has opened for the 2021 season.

Fort Knox’s 18-hole golf course, open to the public, is located just off Dixie Highway and can be accessed near the installation’s main gate on Bullion Boulevard.

Several new updates to the course as well as new carts are some of the additions patrons will find at Lindsey Golf Course for the 2021 season.

After initially getting rained out, the first tournament of the season – the Polar Bear 2-person – will take place March 20-21.

Kyle Twomey, Lindsey’s general manager, said patrons wishing to register, as well as all hopeful golfers, will need to take note of COVID restrictions when visiting the links and pro shop.

“We require masks inside the building and when riding two to a cart,” said Twomey. “Also [patrons] must follow social distance guidelines on the greens and tee boxes.”

Golfers will find some new additions to the course this year.

“Updates include new flags, hole cups and new carts arriving mid-summer,” said Twomey.

Lindsey offers daily rates, monthly memberships and annual passes, as well as golf cart lease packages and club rentals. Pricing and other information can be found HERE.

Those who want to take advantage of a long-term membership will find a perk included, said Twomey: “Patrons will receive a free round of golf the day a six-month or yearlong pass is issued.”

There is also a pro shop on site featuring clubs and other gear, apparel and accessories. The shop states if they don’t have particular items being sought, managers can special order them.

Those interested in receiving a personalized club-fitting will want to take note of three upcoming events offered at the course. Fittings for Ping, Titleist, and Callaway are all happening in April. Appointments can be scheduled by following the web links on Lindsey’s Facebook page HERE.

Area residents will also find all upcoming events posted to the page as they are announced.

Registration for annual passes, tournaments, handicaps, cart rentals, as well as setting driving range and tee times can be done in the pro shop located near the course entrance. For more information, call 502-624-2717.
