Representatives with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District, the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services and the Federal Emergency Management Agency conducted an inspection of ongoing construction Feb. 23 at Beverly Hospital in Montebello, California. The group viewed construction progress outside of the facility, in patient rooms and on the roof during the inspection.

At Beverly Hospital, the Corps and its contractors are working in coordination with hospital officials to upgrade a 17-bed wing in the facility for non-COVID patients and convert a pre-operation waiting room to a COVID staging area by adding high-flow oxygen.
