FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. — Budding artists who want to showcase their skills still have time to enter Fort Leonard Wood’s virtual art show.

The Taste of the Arts has been rescheduled for Wednesday on the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mwr.ftwood. The submission deadline has also been extended until Sunday, according to LoraLee Neubeck with the FMWR Installation Wide Events office.

Neubeck said her office has received a number of submissions so far.

“There is a great deal of talent in the Fort Leonard Wood Community,” Neubeck said. “Entries arrive daily. We have a variety of paintings, drawings and photography.”

Artists of all skill levels are invited to email photos of their works, which can also include sculpture, woodworking and jewelry-making projects, to flwspecialevents@gmail.com. The show is free and open to members of the Fort Leonard Wood community. Submissions should include the entrant’s name, category and artwork medium. Entrants should submit photos of their artwork from multiple angles for judging.

Entries will be judged in four age groups, with winners announced and all entries shown on the FMWR Facebook page.

“This is a great opportunity to celebrate art and talent within our community,” Neubeck said. “We encourage everyone to view the gallery of entries.”
