U.S. Army Forces Command released its inaugural episode of the podcast, FORSCOM Frontline, February 12, with Gen. Michael X. Garrett as the inaugural guest. The episode, titled The Need for Change, is a conversation with Garrett about racism, embracing diversity within our formations and his family’s legacy of service.

Each month, FORSCOM Frontline, hosted by the staff of the FORSCOM Public Affairs Office, will share stories of how FORSCOM members are meeting challenges and ensuring the readiness of our Army, while also developing the future force in order to remain ready well into the future.

“We want to have real conversations,” said Col. Scott Rawlinson, FORSCOM Director of Public Affairs. “We are going to tell the stories and share the experiences of our People– because our Army is comprised of amazing individuals who come together for a common purpose – service to our Nation.”

Additionally, the podcast will also cover topics that have gained national attention and influenced how the Army conducts the business of readiness. Topics that include racism, extremism, suicide and sexual harassment and assault – and how these tough issues affect our force.

Each month, we will discuss the breadth of what it means to keep the largest command in the Army on track to meet global requirements; on topics ranging from Soldiers fielding modern equipment to keep pace with adversary threats to highlighting women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematical careers—to their experiences working across cultural and language barriers with partner nation military members in fighting a common enemy..

The FORSCOM Frontline will release a new episode the second Friday of each month. Episodes will be available on Apple Podcasts (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/id1553111800) and Spotify
