MADIGAN ARMY MEDICAL CENTER, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. – At this time, Madigan Army Medical Center has temporarily exhausted its supply of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine. We want to assure our patients that as soon as we receive additional vaccine, Madigan will open appointments for booking so that we can continue to vaccinate patients 75 years of age and older.

We know that many of our patients in the JBLM community are awaiting appointments to get the COVID-19 vaccine. In the face of this global pandemic, we have been encouraged by the extraordinary participation of our patients in the COVID-19 vaccine distribution.

Please check for open appointments on Wednesday, February 3, by calling the Puget Sound Military Appointment Center at 1-800-404-4506, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, or by clicking on the link to Madigan's online COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduler at www.madigan.tricare.mil. We expect more vaccine to be available at that time.

We appreciate your patience and we do anticipate additional vaccine supply soon. We ask that our patients check for updates on Madigan’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/MadiganHealth. Also, our dedicated COVID-19 vaccine webpage will be updated once more vaccine becomes available.

You can also call the dedicated COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline at (253) 968-4744 for the latest updates on COVID-19 vaccine availability. It is preferred that you avoid calling directly to clinics to inquire about our vaccine supply. It is critical during this pandemic that our phone lines remain open to our entire patient population needing various health care services.

As we have vaccine supply, we will continue to vaccinate as many eligible patients and community members as authorized, in accordance with the Department of Defense distribution plan, which is consistent with data-driven Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidance for national prioritization.

Again, we sincerely apologize for the interruption in our ability to schedule more vaccination appointments and appreciate your patience as we await additional vaccine supply. In the meantime, keep an eye on Madigan’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/MadiganHealth or call the Hotline at (253) 968-4744 for the latest information on COVID-19 vaccine availability. Care with compassion.
