Monthly Fort Knox retirement ceremony set for Jan. 29

The monthly post retirement ceremony will be Friday, Jan. 29 at 3 p.m. in Waybur Theater and hosted by the commander of U.S. Army Cadet Command and Fort Knox, Maj. Gen. John Evans Jr., and his senior enlisted advisor, Command Sgt. Maj. Jerimiah Gan.

Attendance is by-invitation only to ensure proper social distancing; however, everyone is invited to watch a live stream of the event at https://www.facebook.com/FortKnoxKY/.

The following retirees will be honored in this ceremony:

·        Col. Gail Dreitzler, U.S. Army Human Resources Command, with 26 years of service

·        Sgt. Maj. Tracey Sims, 1st Infantry Division, with 30 years of service

·        1st Sgt. Melanie Castleberry, 4th Cavalry Multi-Functional Training Brigade, with 20 years of service

·        Sgt. 1st Class Chad Courtney, Fort Knox Medical Department Activity, with 20 years of service

·        Sgt. 1st Class Dennis Torres, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, with 23 years of service
