FORT LEE, Virginia -- All Fort Lee Family Housing residents are encouraged to check their personal email inboxes for DOD’s announcement of the latest Tenant Satisfaction Survey.

Most should have received their notices by now with an attached copy of the all-services assessment. If the email notice doesn’t show up by Friday, that resident can request a survey via email to ARMYHousingSurvey@celassociates.com. CEL & Associates Inc., is the company conducting the survey and tabulating the results for the DOD.

As noted in a recent letter to residents from Garrison Commander Col. Karin Watson, it is “very important for (every recipient) to complete the survey and promptly return it within seven days of receipt.” The survey window is actually open for 45 days, but the tendency to forget it increases with time, so getting it returned right away will ensure the resident’s input is received.

“Participation of all residents will result in more accurate picture of current housing conditions and future needs and preferences,” Watson’s message also emphasized. “Your time in helping us with this important effort is sincerely appreciated.”

The 10-section survey has a total of 49 response elements. There are areas where participants can offer written descriptions of their experiences. All participants will remain anonymous, so frank and honest viewpoints about the quality, concerns and even positive attributes of military family housing should be unhesitatingly shared.

The Army is particularly interested in receiving firsthand accounts of what service members and families find important when living in military-provided housing. The assessment is used to identify areas in residential community operations that are successful or need improvement; where funding could have the most effect to change those things that are top priorities to residents; and to ascertain areas of success for the garrison housing offices.

Residents can verify the validity of the Tenant Satisfaction Survey by its OMB Control Number 0704-0553 and expiration date of March 31, 2022.

After all responses are tabulated, garrison leaders will receive a detailed breakdown of their installation’s results along with service-wide numbers for comparison. Highlights of those analytics, particularly areas given the highest and lowest ratings by Fort Lee residents, will be shared at a future Housing Town Hall.
