Happy Birthday, U.S. Marine Corps!

Christopher Schaefer run one mile Nov. 5, as part of a 245-mile total that Marines stationed here completed last week in celebration of the Corps’ 245 years of service to the nation (the actual birthday was Tuesday). This has become an annual event, as Marine students are paired with detachment personnel to run each mile carrying the Marine Corps guidon in order to enhance esprit de corps and celebrate heritage.
