Lightning Spouse Named Volunteer of the Year

VICENZA, Italy -- The 207th Military Intelligence Brigade (Theater)'s nomination for Vicenza Military Community's Volunteer-of-the-Year in the spouse category was announced on June 26, as the official awardee via a virtual event held by U.S. Army Garrison Italy's Army Community Service program.

Macey Hickox volunteered over 600 hours throughout the community in the past year, in support of family programs, the American Red Cross, local schools, religious organizations, and recreation programs.

"She has depicted a very high degree of initiative, originality and leadership that have resulted in flawless planning, organization and direction when carrying out the various programs that she has been in charge of and supported as a volunteer member," wrote Patrick Hunt in his nomination for Hickox.

In addition, the 207th MIB-T nominated Cpt. Marcus Sutter and Shania Wykle for their support throughout the community. Both demonstrated leadership, selfless service and dedication to the community over the year.

The Lightning Brigade, as the 207th MIB-T is known, puts emphasis on making a different, both on duty and off duty, and is proud to highlight the outstanding service of both service members and their families.
