FORT KNOX, Ky. — The Fort Knox garrison leadership team dropped in on a blood drive at Hansen Center July 29 to offer their support.

Colonel CJ King and Command Sgt. Maj. William Fogle donated blood during the second of two donation dates as a show of unity. Fogle also admitted that overwhelming support during the first event July 9 kept them from securing an appointment time.

Over the course of both days, Red Cross officials collected 96 units of blood from donors at the Hansen Center and an additional 33 units at a U.S. Army Human Resources Center blood draw.
