U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command personnel have until June 30 to donate to their charity of choice during a special Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) solicitation to help victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“As the world deals with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, many DoD personnel have asked how they can help relief efforts as private citizens,” Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said in a May 27 Defense Department memorandum, which outlined how DOD personnel could contribute.
Soldiers and civilian employees, as well as retirees and contractors, may make a voluntary contribution through June 30 to the participating CFC charities of their choice by visiting the CFC giving portal https://cfcnca.org. Donors who have pledged payroll allotments in 2019 can make additional donations with electronic credit, debit or automated clearing house (ACH) on the CFC giving platform https://cfcgiving.opm.gov/welcome or the CFC mobile application.
The CFC online pledge portal is a safe, trusted and proven way to make contributions to more than 6,000 qualified 501 (c)(3), CFC-approved charitable organizations.
“This special CFC solicitation offers the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command an opportunity to share their compassion and generosity when many in America need it most,” said AMCOM Secretary of the General Staff Joyce Myers, who also serves as AMCOM’s CFC chairperson. “Best of all, 100% of donations by the made the team during this special campaign will go to the designated charities, without a distribution fee.”

The special CFC solicitation is supplemental to other fundraising efforts, and does not prevent personnel from making similar donations through the military relief societies during their 2020 fundraising campaigns.
