CECOM motor pool team recognized for extraordinary service

Members of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Fleet Management Expansion (FMX) motor pool team were awarded the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service March 12, 2020 at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

Col. Scott Fitzgerald, commander of the 111th Military Intelligence Brigade, presented the medal to Bernard Busic, Richard Collins, Christopher Erickson, Dean Kulppi, Edward Matchette, Roberto Duarte and Jeffrey Pace for their extraordinary service supporting the CECOM Heavy Mobile Equipment maintenance team.

The seven motor pool experts went above and beyond to identify safety concerns with refurbished Tactical Signals Intelligence (TACSIG) vehicles, perform controlled substitutions to alleviate deadline faults and repair conduct speedy repairs. They demonstrated their abilities to meet soldiers’ needs and AMC standards by being prepared and ready to meet unforeseen challenges.

“The FMX team’s exceptional performance reflects great credit upon themselves, CECOM, the 111th Military Intelligence Brigade and the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence,” Fitzgerald said.

“Collectively, they were able to achieve the mission and meet the objective through cohesion and dedication, and for that, I'm proud."
