“Fort Drum: A Community Response to COVID-19” is an attempt to capture the current pulse of life at Fort Drum during the Coronavirus pandemic. The story essay includes public affairs photographs and screenshots from several organizations’ social media pages to highlight community efforts to stay connected while adhering to government and military guidance to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Soldiers and civilian employees across the installation have adj
usted to different work environments and means of communication. Naturally, this comes with a learning curve but it has also resulted in many creative and unique ways of reaching community members and keeping them informed and engaged during uncertain times.
