Stryker Soldiers visit construction sites near Taji

TAJI, Iraq - A child somersaults into a canal June 12 in a village just north of Baghdad. While on patrol in the village, Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 112th Infantry Regiment, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team watched as the boy jumped into the canal, taking a swim in order to beat the summer heat. The canal acts as the water source for a new water treatment plant in Asaf, Iraq near Taji.  The new facility provides clean water to over 80 nearby homes.
