Paratroopers visit new sewage facility in al-Karradah

BAGHDAD - Sgt. Matt Bochiardy, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., checks his surroundings for anything suspicious during a visit to the Zafaraniya Sewage Pump station, May 31, in the al-Karradah district of eastern Baghdad. Paratroopers, along with civil affairs and U.S. Army Corps of Engineer personnel, visited the site to meet with sewage officials and tour the facility.  Bochiardy is assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Multi-National Division-Baghdad.
