Capt. Vincent Kirk, the signal officer for 2nd Brigade Support Battalion and native of Auburn, Alabama practices his M249 firing procedures and malfunction corrections during 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division's Expert Soldier Badge Qualification at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Oct. 29, 2019.  This is the first time in U.S. Army history that a unit is conducting an ESB since the Army announcement in June, 2019.
