82nd Combat Aviation Brigade flies high with their annual fall festival

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - The 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade hosted their annual 82nd CAB Fall Festival 2019 at Simmons Army Airfield, North Carolina, Oct. 25, 2019.

"The CAB does this event to bring families and paratroops together," said Col. Ernest J. Irvin, the commander of the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division.

The festival started with The Black Daggers, the U.S. Army Special Operations Command parachute demonstration team, jumping in. The event also had displays, a trunk-or-treat, and a haunted house.

Attendees were encourage to dress in costumes and participate in the games and contests which included a chilly cook off and a costume contest.

Those who attended the event had the opportunity to interact with other Soldiers and families from the 82nd CAB as well as Soldiers and families from other units across Fort Bragg.

"It's a privilege to be in the 82nd CAB," Irvin said, "but more importantly, to see families connect with their spouses and loved ones here at work."
