CAMP ZAMA, Japan (Oct. 8, 2019) -- In an effort to better ensure Army housing residents have the quality, safe and healthy housing they deserve, U.S. Army Garrison Japan officials added another way to communicate directly with leadership.

Housing residents who submit work orders for maintenance issues can now utilize the online Interactive Customer Evaluation tool, or ICE, to rate satisfaction with the work performed by the Directorate of Public Works.

Officials added three new questions to the existing form: Was the requested work completed? Did the completed work satisfy the issue? Was the work completed in a timely manner?

Residents can access ICE via the USAG Japan website at https://home.army.mil/japan/index.php.

Once on the website, scroll to the bottom of the page to find the ICE icon and click it to open the link.

To evaluate maintenance work, select the "Housing" tab from the list on the left side of the page, then select the "DPW Housing Management Division Family Housing (Cp Zama, Bldg 671)" link.

"Help us help you by taking the time to provide feedback on the maintenance work performed in your housing," said Dennis Nelson, Chief of DPW's Operations and Maintenance Division.

Housing residents are encouraged to call the DPW customer service line at (DSN) 263-4613/4274, or commercially at 046-407-4613/4274 for routine housing issues.

If residents feel they have persistent and unresolved issues that require the U.S. Army Japan commander's attention, they can call the Command Hotline at (DSN) 262-3228, or commercially at 046-407-3228.
