The Fort Knox Army Substance Abuse Program is hosting a Life Promotion Run/Jog/Walk 5K next to Natcher Physical Fitness Center Sept. 6, starting at 6:10 a.m., as part of the annual kick-off for National Suicide Awareness Month.

Civilians whose workday starts during the time of the Life Promotion Run/Jog/ Walk 5K event may participate if they are on leave or if their supervisor makes the event their appointed place of duty. Participants are encouraged to wear the suicide awareness colors purple/turquoise during the race.
