Schweinfurt celebrates the Army's birthday

SCHWEINFURT, Germany - Units from U.S. Army Garrison Schweinfurt fly their guidons at the 234th Army birthday celebration June 11 at the Andrus Garden on Ledward Barracks. SCHWEINFURT, Germany - Soldiers and community members joined in the singing of the Army song followed by the lowering of the flag to the familiar tune of the bugle during the Army birthday celebration June 11. Soldiers of 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment march off with the colors, concluding the day's honorary events which consisted of an opening prayer given by the garrison chaplain Lt. Col. Thomas Wesley, a speech from garrison commander Lt. Col. Anthony Haager, and a cake-cutting performed by garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Ernest Lee.
