FORT HUACHUCA, ARIZONA -- Lt. Col. (promotable) Michael D. Ronn relinquished command of Raymond W. Bliss Army Health Center, RWBAHC, here on Fort Huachuca early morning, Friday, August 2, 2019, to Lt. Col. Wendy L. Gray.
Lt. Col. Ronn spent just over two years as RWBAHC's commander and in that time oversaw the opening of the Army's 35th Army Wellness Center, the consolidation of the Soldier Care Clinic back into the main RWBAHC building and encouraged medical readiness support resulting in medical availability of both RWBAHC Soldier readiness, averaging 92% - the highest in the Region, and overall Fort Huachuca Soldier readiness of 89%. He has left a lasting impression on the clinic's Soldiers and staff.
Lt. Col. Ronn said, "We've said good-bye to many great team members, and said hello to a great many more. With all of the change, our ability to provide great healthcare at the edge of the frontier has never wavered and only improved. This is a testament to the great men and women of our organization and also due to the amazing support we receive from our installation and community partners."
Lt. Col. Gray arrived to assume command after her last tour as the Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic's Deputy Commander for Nursing on Fort Myer, Va. She was enlisted as a medic and was commissioned into the United States Nursing Corp in 1999.
When Lt. Col. Gray took command, she said, "Raymond W. Bliss Army Health Center is an incredible place, filled with awesome people who provide high quality care for over 11,000 beneficiaries within the surrounding community. From the moment I stepped into the clinic, I felt the presence of a dynamic team ensuring that patients receive extraordinary care every time! I also look forward to working with our community partners as we continue to provide excellent medical care to our customers. Team RWBAHC, thank you all for what you do to enhance the patient and team member experience."
Lt. Col. Gray continued, "I am thrilled and honored to be part of this great team and look forward to our next two years together."
