U.S. Army Pacific held a Celebration of Service ceremony, June 26, 2019, on Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
Fellow Soldiers, family, and friends gathered to pay tribute to the USARPAC Soldiers as they prepare to retire from the service. Maj. Gen. John Johnson, USARPAC deputy commanding general-south, was the host and said it was a privilege to be a part of the ceremony.
The USARPAC retirees honored were: Lt. Col. Derrick Johnson, 1st Sgt. Bryon Dishmon, and Mr. Nayer M. Mahmoud.
USARPAC's Celebration of Service ceremony recognizes Soldiers for exceptional service to U.S. Army Pacific and the nation as they prepare to transition into new careers. During the ceremony, Soldiers receive awards, certificates of retirement, and are presented with the U.S. Flag in honor of their service to the nation.
