A Dunkin' doughnut and coffee shop and correlated Baskin Robbins ice creamery opened at the Fort Knox Mini-Mall on Eisenhower Avenue May 31.
Brenda Bynum, a services business manager with AAFES said the partnership just makes business sense.
"It's a good location because of the morning traffic we get going through the troop area, and the fact that it's located in the small food court at the Mini Mall," Bynum said. "This offers a viable option to the coffee shop on the other side of post. Now people coming through this side of the post have a place to get coffee."
George Hart has only ever opened the Dunkin', Baskin Robbins franchises on military installations, and he said the partnership offers something for everyone.
"Parents can bring their children for [doughnuts or ice cream] and they can treat themselves to a
coffee."
The hours of operation of Baskin Robbins and Dunkin are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday.
