Soldiers from Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 593rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, participated in a Base Defense Live Fire Exercise May 14 to May 16. The exercise served as a way to show Soldiers firsthand how to react to an enemy threat that can potentially jeopardize critical assets or personnel.

The Soldiers focused on their individual and supported collective tasks using a variation of scenarios to include React to a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear attack, react to indirect fire, and react to mounted and dismounted enemy troops. All these scenarios where employed during the exercise to give Soldiers realistic training both during day and nighttime operations.
