Holocaust survivor honored on Joint Base Lewis-McChord

At a Holocaust Day of Remembrance ceremony on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Staff Sgt. Shawn Jenkins, 508th Military Police Battalion (Detention), 42nd Military Police Brigade, lights candles in honor of holocaust victims. Holocaust survivor Joachim Lewinsohn was the guest speaker at the ceremony, and recounted the harrowing story of he and his family fleeing Nazi Germany and finding refuge in China and Chile before settling in Seattle.
