Brig. Gen. Khalid Mohammed, former director of the Kuwait Ministry of Interior Department of Protection, receives the Armed Forces of the United States' Legion of Merit, Degree of Officer, from Maj. Gen. Flem B. "Donnie" Walker, commanding general of the 1st Theater Sustainment Command, at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, April 24, 2019. Khalid served as the director from Jan. 2016 to April 2018, and was responsible for protecting U.S. and Kuwaiti interests while enabling the safe and expeditious flow of Soldiers, dignitaries, and supplies critical to sustainment throughout the State of Kuwait.
