Ansbach, Germany (April 1, 2019) - Prenatal care, health information and services were shared with new and expectant parents who attended the Community Baby Shower held by Army Community Services at the Von Steuben Community Center of U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach.
The Deputy to the Garrison Commander, Kathleen A. Gavle, welcomed the crowd nearly one hundred young parents with their babies and toddlers.
Gavle pointed out that one of the many benefits of the Community Baby Shower is that it brings together experts with new or expectant parents.
Most parents took the opportunity to learn about important resources provided by USAG Ansbach community services and also Host Nation mid-wives.
A presentation about prenatal care standards in Germany was given by a local obstetrics and gynecologist from the local hospital.
