"Being an equal opportunity professional is an awesome job, specifically because of the fact that we get to be a part of a program that stands for diversity and inclusion. It sees a Soldier for who they truly are and it's based on their merit, not the color of their skin or where they come from. It truly embodies what a Soldier should be. The best part about it is being able to teach people and to interact with our Soldiers, the community and bring everything together to build that harmony. Women's history Month means a lot to me, not just because I'm a woman and I have worked really, really hard in my military career to advance and excel, but Women's History Month definitely is a pillar for all women to stand upon. It brings out all the accomplishments, the best that we give as women, what we stand for, what we bring to the present, and what we bring to the future. It's a time to honor those women who have come before us and those of us working hard today to continue to uplift women in a positive way."
