FORT SHAFTER, Hawaii - U.S. Army Pacific held its quarterly Celebration of Service ceremony, March 21, 2019, at Fort Shafter, Hawaii where more than 100 people were in attendance.

Maj. Gen. Timothy M. McKeithen, Deputy Commanding General, National Guard U.S. Army Pacific, was the master of ceremonies and thanked each retiree of the USARPAC team for their service and expressed his gratitude for their contributions to the Army.

Honorees of the ceremony, with 129 years of service between them included Lt. Col. Jeffrey A. Fritz, Lt. Col. Bradley S. Rudder, Sgt. Maj. Christopher S. Richardson and Mrs. Emma "Lindy" H. Napolean.

"I am truly humbled today as we celebrate 129 years of service of four of our teammates," said McKeithen. "I am honored to have worked alongside these true professionals."

USARPAC Commanding General, Robert B. Brown approached the podium to speak to the crowd about Mrs. Lindy Napoleon, who has worked as an executive assistant to 11 USARPAC commanding generals, including General Brown. She has worked with the U.S. Army as a civil servant for the last 52 years.

"Lindy is amazing," said Brown to the crowd. "Anyone who knew Lindy, knew she never had a bad day, therefore no one that worked with her could have a bad day."

Lindy and Brown teared up as he recalled memories from over the past few years of working together to the audience.

Brown ended the ceremony with a message to all of the retirees. "People are our Army, they are the reason we serve and I am honored to have served alongside all of you," said Brown.

USARPAC holds a celebration of service quarterly at the historic Palm Circle, to honor retirees for their sacrifice to our country, and their contributions to U.S. Army Pacific.
