U.S. Army Garrison-Fort Knox Soldiers began wearing the U.S. Army Materiel Command insignia effective March 8.
The change is part of an Army-level reform where U.S. Army Installation Management Command, under which USAG-Fort Knox operates, is now a major subordinate command of AMC.
Officials say the change is aimed at establishing unity of command and effort at installations, improving the readiness of Soldiers and formations, and strengthening the well-being of Soldiers, their Families, and Department of the Army civilian employees.
