Ansbach Career Service Recognition ceremony celebrates employees from 5 to 50 years of service

ANSBACH, Germany (March 1, 2019) -- Forty-seven German and American civilian Army Professionals of U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach received thunderous applause from colleagues and friends after being honored with certificates for their long-time service during a Career Service Recognition Ceremony at the theater on Bismarck Kaserne.

The certificates, signed by USAG Ansbach Commander Col. Steven M. Pierce recognized 40 Army professionals for their 5 to 35 years of service to the U.S. military.

Honorees who had served 40 and 50 years for the U.S. military received certificates signed by the Region Director for Installation Management Command-Europe Michael D. Formica.

Illesheim Mayor Heinrich Förster also presented certificates from the State of Bavaria, signed by Kerstin Schreyer, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, to local national Army Professionals who worked for 40 years for U.S. forces.

In his speech, Pierce thanked the honorees for their many years of loyalty and support to USAG Ansbach. "This truly is an accomplishment and a mark of dedication and commitment worth celebrating," he said.

Command Sgt. Major Philson Tavernier, Mayor Förster and Works Council Chairman Suzie Pabler assisted Pierce in honoring USAG Ansbach Army professionals.
