ON WHY I CHOSE ARMY CYBER AS A CAREER: "I chose cyber because it adds a new dynamic to what I've already experienced throughout my career. Having a signal background, most of what you're focused on is install, operate, and maintain. It's very interesting, to me, to focus on security and protection of valuable network and host assets."

ON THE REWARDS AND CHALLENGES OF BEING AN ARMY CYBER WARRIOR: "A challenge of cyber is that it's a new branch. For quite some time we never had any documentation or references to look back on. A reward couples with the challenge in that you have the unique opportunity to creative things from scratch. You can potentially shape the culture based on your individual contribution to Cyber."

ON WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED AS AN ARMY CYBER CAREER WARRIOR: "Creativity and flexibility, I feel, are keys to a successful Cyber career. The Cyber career field is in its infancy stage and is continuing to grow. Because of this, you will have some natural growing pains, but at the same time you have the opportunity to be at the forefront of techniques and procedures."

WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT ARMY CYBER: "I would tell people that if you have an interest to just go for it. I feel like Cyber is a culmination of a multitude of skill sets and there is always a need for that niche skill."
