It's Carnevale time! Carnevale (carnival), a Catholic tradition, is the last celebration before the beginning of Lent on Ash Wednesday, when Catholics must deprive themselves of something they enjoy. One of the most famous Carnevale celebrations in the world takes place in Venice, where since 1162 attendants don unique Venetian masks and costumes for the festivities. In Tuscany, Viareggio is the location of their biggest Carnevale celebration.
