The first "Year of the NCO" was in 1989. Here we are, two decades later, with the force stretched between two wars and multiple deployments in foreign theaters, and the role of the NCO corps has never been more crucial. Thus, we pay tribute to our extraordinary NCOs during this year, 2009.
