FORT DRUM, N.Y. (Nov. 29, 2018) -- Because "Life is like a box of chocolates," the Fort Drum Army Community Service staff invites community members to sample some short and sweet holiday-themed classes between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 7.

The ACS Sampler is a series of 20-minute informational sessions that offer tips on how to deal with stress over the holidays, dressing for every occasion and unexpected entertaining, to name a few.

"Everything is geared to be fun and informative - and bite-sized," said Scarlett Sharkey, Relocation Readiness program manager. "It is just a taste of what kind of classes they have to offer here at ACS."

Sharkey said that this is the first time the staff is offering a holiday sampler event.

"Everything is designed toward the holidays - from keeping them in perspective to the perfect pairings for delicious food," she said. "I am hoping that people want to stay for the whole event, but with busy schedules we are hope everyone can find some small amount of time to come."

The event is child-friendly and free for Fort Drum community members. A schedule of classes is available at https://www.facebook.com/FtDrumACS/.
