JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. - Each year military commanders set aside time to thank service members during the holidays. This year is no different.
For this Thanksgiving holiday, Brig. Gen. Dennis LeMaster, commanding general, Regional Health Command-Pacific, continued that tradition and spent time serving meals to soldiers at dining facilities throughout Joint Base Lewis-McChord. LeMaster and his wife Traudi Retzlaff spent time at four dining facilities on Nov. 21 and 22.
They visited the 1st SFG - Airborne DFAC, 201st EMIB Courage Inn and the 16th CAB Raptors Nest DFAC the day before Thanksgiving, and Madigan Army Medical Center DFAC on the holiday.
The holidays are a joyous time, and as LeMaster reminded the team at Region in his yearly Thanksgiving message, we should always hold on to the memories of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and who were not with their loved ones at the dinner table.
