VICENZA, Italy (November 19, 2018) -- The Vicenza High School Booster Club is a non-profit organization committed to supporting all high school athletic programs and boosting school spirit and is instrumental in promoting participation from the community in various interscholastic sports.

Booster Club functions solely through the hard work of volunteers who conduct fundraisers to benefit student athletes.

There are three main reasons for fundraising, which are the following:

(1) To raise funds to pay for part of athlete travel cost during the European Games at each season;

(2) To cover the cost of trophies presented to athletes; and

(3) To award scholarships to students who apply and meet the qualifications.

How does Booster Club raise funds? Fundraising is done through the sale of food and drinks at each sporting event, the sale of "spirit wear" and the sale of membership.

Membership is $20 per year, per family and is not restricted solely to parents of current athletes. So whether someone is a parent of past or future athletes, alumni, or simply a fan of the Cougars, the organization encourages community members and parents to join.

With support from athletes' families and the greater community, Booster Club will continue to provide the VHS Cougars with the level of support they deserve.

Membership forms may be picked up in Room 29 in the high school, or downloaded from the Vicenza Booster Club FB page.
