CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait - U.S. Army National Guard Col. Charles Hausman, commander of the 35th Combat Aviation Brigade, spent time visiting work areas and speaking with Soldiers of the 935th Aviation Support Battalion at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Oct. 6, 2018.

During his tour of the facilities, Hausman presented leadership coins to five Soldiers in the 935th ASB in recognition of the outstanding efforts they have made supporting the mission, not only of their own companies and battalion, but of the brigade as well.

"The work you are doing down here is the life-blood of the aviation brigade," Hausman said of the 935th ASB as a whole.

The battalion's mission is to provide sustainment-level logistical support, ground maintenance, aircraft maintenance, aircraft refueling, signal support, and Soldier-sustainment operations, in support of the 35th CAB and its attached units.

Hausman was accompanied by Command Sgt. Maj. Javier Acosta, 35th CAB senior enlisted advisor, and Chief Warrant Officer 5 Robert Murrell, 35th CAB senior warrant officer. Soldiers who received coins were: Capt. Jason Wells, Headquarters and Support Company, support operations transportation officer; Sgt. James Aiman, HSC, senior information system specialist; Spc. Valentina Marlowe, A. Company, material store handling specialist; Staff Sgt. Rusty Casey, C. Company, unit supply sergeant; and Sgt. David Benson, B. Company, helicopter structural repairer.
