CAMP HUMPHREYS, SOUTH KOREA -- The new U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys Main Post Office, located across from the Humphreys Theater, in Bldg. 5730, is scheduled to open Nov. 13.
The old Main Post Office, located in Bldg. S-118, near Sentry Village, officially closed Nov. 8. During this transition, the Cowan Post Office, Bldg. 6809, located near Sitman Physical Fitness Center, will be open to provide services.
"The short break in between the closing and opening of the new post office is needed over the Veteran's Day weekend to transfer, move and set up our postal items and retail equipment to our new Main Post Office location," said James Luna, the Camp Humphreys postal superintendent.
This post office relocation is part of the transformation at Camp Humphreys, which will see its population grow to about 44,000 in the coming years.
"The new location is ideal, right next to the new downtown area and adjacent to major business, retail shopping, and entertainment facilities," said Luna. "Many of our postal patrons are looking forward to the convenience of doing their shopping at the Humphreys Mall and retail stores, within walking distance, and then coming to our Main Post Office to mail out their purchased items as gifts, especially during the holiday season."
Finance and customer service window holiday hours of operation for Cowan Post Office (Nov. 26-Dec. 15) are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. For parcel pickup, holiday hours (Nov. 26-Dec. 28) are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays; inprocessing hours are 10 a.m. -- 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on Saturdays.
Cowan Post Office will operate on Saturdays until Jan. 3 and will then resume normal operations of being closed on Saturdays. Normal operating hours for the Cowan Post Office are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parcel pickup normal hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Normal hours of operation for the new Humphreys Main Post office are scheduled for 9 a.m.to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Package pickup and inprocessing will begin at the new main post office, Jan. 3, in addition to services at Cowan.
