October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the IRAHC radiology department wants everyone to know, "Mammograms are important--for women AND symptomatic men." Representatives of the IRAHC RAD will be at two events this week serving pink lemonade--donations accepted but not required. All proceeds will be donated by the booster club to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, an organization which utilizes 91 percent of its donations directly to researching a cure for breast cancer and treatment options.

Visitors may also meet and talk with survivors, receive immediate mammography-scheduling assistance, visit the "photo frame" and take a picture, get a ribbon to wear, and discuss the importance of early detection. Stop by Oct 19 at the IRAHC Main Pharmacy from 07:30 to 9:30 a.m., and from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or at the Human Resource Command Welcome Center Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
