Soldiers at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, marked the fourth anniversary of the Army's Cyber branch and the full integration of Electronic Warfare careers into that branch on Oct. 1.

"Today, the Army believes [that] to dominate in the high tech environments of the future it must build a force to be versed in cyber, electronic warfare, signal and information operations," said Lt. Col. Eddie Guerrero, Eighth U.S. Army's Cyberspace Electro-magnetic Activities branch chief. "So we are here to celebrate the transition of Electronic Warfare Career Field into Cyber Branch.

Several Soldiers and officers in attendance expressed excitement for the transition to the career field.

"This is a great day for Army Cyber in general because to succeed in a multi-domain environment, it's important we have Cyber planners with Electronic Warfare expertise at corps and below formations," said Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jason LaFortune, recently arrived from Joint Forces Headquarters Army Cyber.
