Close to 30 runners and walkers assembled near Henderson Hall's Gate 3 Sunday morning to brave the humidity to knock out the final miles of the 6,100-mile, on-foot trip.
The proceedings finished when the final runner pulled up near Fort Myer's Old Post Chapel. A closing ceremony was held later in the day at Arlington National Cemetery's Section 60, where many fallen service members from the War on Terror are buried.
