The U.S. Army's senior leadership honored America's fallen during an Army Full Honors Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, VA., June 14, 2018.

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley, Secretary of the Army Mark T. Esper and Sgt. Maj. of the Army Daniel A. Dailey laid a wreath at the Tomb in honor of the Army's 241st Birthday.

On Wednesday, the Army's three most senior leaders visited Capitol Hill to meet with members of Congress and have a cake cutting ceremony and were scheduled to hold a cake cutting ceremony later in the day at the Pentagon.

The wreath laying and cake cutting are just two of multiple events taking place throughout the National Capital Region and around the globe this week in celebration of the Army's 243rd Birthday.
