Afghanistan - Forward deployed Soldiers of the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team were asked how Afghanistan has changed since the first time they came here.

Capt. Andrew Compean, HHC 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team

"Afghanistan National Defense and Security Forces is becoming a more self-sustaining capable force since my first deployment. The Army Has improved overall everyday living conditions to ease the burden of the Soldiers."

Sgt. 1st Class Stephenie Imler, HHC, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team

"The host nation partnership has increased from my previous deployments. We're working more closely to the Afghan National Army that we ever have. The culture has also changed, the Afghan locals have become more receptive and accepting to U.S. and coalition forces."
